Hello, New Studio!
We turned four this August!
And with that, we moved into a new home – a beautiful studio, simple and spacious.
It’s been four years since we started WhySoBlue, a simple beginning in our living room – Jaya stitched every piece by hand, and Shweta handled every single thing herself. We grew fast, and found ourselves moving into a gorgeous space we decorated with love, every inch of it planned to the last detail.
From the white brick wall to wood-panelled floors, we went all out on our little corner – Pinterest became our most-opened app as we looked for the best of everything for our space. We were sure that we’d be there for years – but with a fast-growing team and the overwhelming response we received from our lovely Whysobluelovers, we decided it was time to find a bigger space for ourselves.
This move left us feeling rather bittersweet – our creative team was always a few steps away, and our studio was always alive with light-hearted banter and music. But we decided to embrace this change, and make it our own.
The colourful embroidery rings and beautiful sewing machine centrepiece found their spot in our new space, along with a few new additions. A white staircase takes us from the main space to the production team, set up in their own separate floor – though this rarely keeps us apart! We handpicked summer flowers to line the stairs, complete with spotlights to make it the perfect picture spot!
Shweta’s cabin is adorned by a gorgeous tassel hanging made by the youngest member of our team, alongside her hand-painted logo. Fun frames add a splash of colour to our muted white walls, and doors painted in our signature blue make a great space to let the creative juices flow.
Though we miss our first home, all our heart and soul poured into making it a homey place, we’re super excited about all the space we have here, to make it something new and better, to grow, and to bring you exciting things to look forward to!
And just like before, our studio is always open – so come on down and let’s have a chat!
